Here's a list of all the states we've visited over the years, along with some highlights to help bring you there.
Wichita, Kansas - 2016
A scenic course on the Arkansas River (the locals pronounce it Ar-KAN-ZEZ, as in OurKansas) was the main stop on this wonderful trip. It ended with flames at Keeper of the Plains in front of a large crowd as Tony was awarded the new champion ring. The first time its been awarded. This actually happened in early 2017 because of a family emergency when it was originally planned in 2016.
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH - 2015
The first trip in which all three off us flew in was not a state that will be soon forgotten. From the beautiful peaks in Park City to the unique small mountain towns along the way, it was a grand memory for all involved.
RENO, NEVADA - 2014
The road trip from San Fransisco to Reno is one that features mountains, rivers, lakes and of course some unique putt putt opportunities. That included some one-of-a-kind rotating courses and beautiful views of Lake Tahoe from more than a couple family-owned historic courses.
Winner - Michael.
INDEPENDENCE, MISSOURI - 2013
Visiting a friends hotel we experienced the beauty of middle America, including drives out to unique courses dotting Missouri's countryside and of course an introduction to what we'll always fondly call "Little Mikey."
Winner - Tony.
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA - 2012
Great Faces. Great Places. It couldn't be more true.
Winner - Alex.
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA - 2011
You're going to have to travel around the entire Bay Area to really get the diversity of courses they have to offer.
Winner - Tony.
ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS - 2010
Rockford? Say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? "You three went to Rockford to play mini golf." We always hear. This was our first year heading for our destination with our sole intent being to play mini golf. It was more than a success, with all courses in the area being played.
SPOONER, WISCONSIN - 2009
When most people think of Wisconsin, cheese and gas stations come to mind, but if you happen to make a pit stop in Spooner in your day, we promise that you'll be pleasantly surprised. If the camping, hiking, and rural feel of the area aren't enough to put you at ease - maybe you'll end up driving around to find something to do and come across an abandoned mini golf course. We did, and it changed the course of this year's annual event, and all that came after. No pun intended, as they say. The annual mini golf tournament was born! Just one example of the great ideas that can spring from friends getting together, collaborating and growing together.
FOREST CITY, IOWA - 2008
Having completed college and beginning our adult lives, the three of us almost immediately found ourselves living & working in different states. We decided at that time that an annual trip was necessary to bring us together. A tradition was born, and we have stayed true to this plan since. Forest City was filled with some relaxing camping, bonfires, hiking, and a round of that full size golf.
